Laparoscopic Varicocelectomy
It is considered as one of the safer and less invasive technique for the treatment of Varicocele compared to the conventional surgery and Embolization methods. It is used to treat the inflammation of Pampniform Plexus in right or left or in both sides of the testicles.
This procedure is done under general anesthesia were about three small slits measuring about 5mm is made at the abdomen area. The main aim of this operation is cutting off the abnormal veins which drain of the blood and finally the ends are tied off or connected to the other one in the groin area which now functions accurately. The internal testicular vein is separated at the drainage point where the renal vein is located and in nearby position one or two large veins are present or in that only one needs to be patched on.
Merits of Laparoscopic Varicocelectomy:
It usually takes about 45mins to one hour to complete the procedure and you can be discharged on the same day as it is as a day care procedure. This method is very suitable to persons who are obese.
